This place is amazing! I had a part that needed replaced and the manufacturer and aftermarket companies discontinued the part. The shop worked with me to source a machine shop that made a beefier version. Long story short, it took 1 year for the part to be made and Cincinnati Transmission was super professional about the ordeal. The installation was top notch. I recommend these guys to anybody!

Our 2001 Volvo V70 XC was having transmission challenges. The automatic transmission was "catching" in 3rd gear. I found Cincinnati Transmission through the Christian Blue pages. Called and spoke initially with Heather. I was truly impressed with her customer skills. She was thorough and polite. First impressions are important and Heather made a tremendous first impression. Unfortunately, I was hoping for a quick fix. Rick was the bearer of the bad news that the transmission could not be fixed. He did say he would look for a rebuilt or used transmission if I wanted to go that direction. Praise the Lord he was able to find a used transmission. When asked, he gave a honest answer about what he would do and we have decided to trust Rick and Cincinnati Transmission to get our 23 year old car back on the road!

Great communication and service! I was told by another shop that I had a leaking rear main seal on my older F150. I thought I was facing the unpleasant task of shopping for another vehicle. Cincinnati Transmission Specialists got me in for a second opinion. The issue was just an oil pan gasket leak. I was so relieved and appreciated the honest evaluation. They replaced my oil pan gasket and even told me to stop by after a couple of weeks for them to take a quick look to make sure there were no other leaks. Highly recommend them!

My mechanic recommended Cincinnati Transmission Specialists when I told him there was a problem in the transmission going from first gear to second gear. They did a diagnostic, test drove it, and looked over the vehicle very thoroughly. They noticed that the transmission line was leaking pretty badly. I got the leak fixed and the problem went away. They could have told me the transmission needed repaired, but they didn't. They could have told me the transmission needed to be replaced, but they didn't. It cost me $99 instead of over $7,000 for a remanufactured transmission. I think that says it all, and I'll definitely return to them when I need anything else. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

After inspecting my Camry, it was determined that the steering wheel pump that was installed by another auto repair was defective, and it was not the transmission. I appreciate the honestly. While I was there, I had CTS replace the front stabilizer links, which only took a matter of hours to complete. Highly recommended! Rick and his mechanics took a highly stressful situation of our seized Hyundai engine and made it completely comfortable to my wife in I with replacing with brand new redesigned engine with warranty! They towed out Hyundai from Fairfield Hyundai who would not cover our 100,000 warranty. They work was completed within 2 weeks and car is like a brand new one! Definitely earned our business for the future in all our automotive needs! Thanks

I took my 1999 BMW 740i to Cincinnati Transmission Specialist because it would go into failsafe after driving it for an hour or longer. I was considering replacing the transmission, but Rick asks me to let him run a diagnosis to isolate the problem. He found a few problems not directly related to the transmission but could be causing the transmission overheating and made the repairs at a reasonable cost. He asks me to bring the car back after 500 miles for a code scan to make sure everything was working properly. Over the 500 miles of driving the car went into failsafe once. Rick conducted the code scan and determined the auxiliary fan was not working so I had it and the wiring replaced. Since the repairs I have driven the car for over 3 hours' drive time with no failsafe. Thank You Rick for saving me thousands for not having to replacing my transmission.

At 215,000 miles my 2001 Eurovan Westfalia's transmission went bad. The VW dealerships and specialists I called all said to send it to CTS. None of us knew how complicated the repair was about to be. Transmissions for this vehicle are no longer made or even serviced and used ones are barely available. In about 6 weeks they rebuilt the transmission and sent it home with me, but it started acting up so I brought it back. Diagnosing it took several futile rounds of efforts, but Rick assured me several times that he could and would fix it or I could have a full refund. Finally, after exhausting many options for repair, Rick found a low-mileage transmission and control module and at his own cost purchased and installed it. The van is running beautifully again now. I have never seen such dedication to customer satisfaction in my entire life. I completely recommend Rick and Josh and Cincinnati Transmission Service. Thank goodness for an old-school business like this one.

Came in with a parking pawl issue. My truck would roll upon in park. I was expecting this to be a transmission job where they had to drop the transmission and re build some stuff. I took my s10 in for diagnostics on the transmission, and after a series of test drive was able to determine that a shift solenoid was bad. I came in with the idea of needing a new transmission obviously would be a costly option, but Josh saved me a ton of money with the correct diagnostics. Only took 2 days to get the truck working again. **New Review since I can't leave two reviews** 3-9-2020 I took my 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD to them for a terrible noise coming from the rear. I explained what had happen to Dustin Svenkerud and he assured that everything was going to be fine and Josh Meyer was going to diagnose the problem. Dustin called me back same day and informed me that my differential input bearing had burned up. They had me back on the road within a couple days with full repairs. The cost was very reasonable without breaking the bank. I will be a customer for life.

Theses guys are the best no questions asked. I took them my truck in May of 2018 to have a built transmission put in my truck due to the fact the old one was going out and all this truck does is pull a trailer. They put in a great transmission loved it. Now fastward to early this year I had to take it back because something was not right. They took it in and checked it out found something failed and it went out it was under warranty still. They completely redid e everything on it and installed a cable I was going to do myself and never charged me a dime. I will not go anywhere else for this type of work again hard to find someone who will stand behind what they say they will do now a days but not these guys other shops could learn something from Rick Josh and the whole crew up there. Our 2012 Ford Explorer broke down when we were driving from Northern Michigan to Orlando this year. We woke up in Cincinnati on a Saturday with no power steering or terrain control in heavy rain. Cincinnati Transmission got us in for an inspection on Saturday morning.It was a recall problem missed by our local Ford dealership in Michigan, but Ford was unhelpful and would not pay or preapproved the repairs. Waiting for a Ford dealership to work on the car would take several weeks. Cincinnati transmission was extremely friendly, helpful and competent. They went into high gear and obtained and installed the module and re-programmed the car?s computer by mid afternoon on Monday. Their charges were very reasonable. We highly recommend them.

I dropped off my old fairlane a while back because it was blowing trans fluid and oil all over everywhere after rolling it for awhile. Obviously the dude I bought it from had done some work to hide the issues, so by the time I'd run a few thousand miles, the thing was a waterfall, I couldn't drive it anywhere and feel good about it. So I took the lump and dropped it off at CTS at the recommendation of a pal. They had the thing for longer than expected due to part availability, but when I got it back, the motor and trans were spotless, they had tuned the carb and adjusted the timing in addition to the work that I'd asked them to perform. The service was excellent and I couldn't be happier driving this thing around and not having to worry about f**king up my friend's driveways. I'll be dropping off more of my junk for these dudes to wrench.

Folks, if you are having trouble finding a top-notch shop to work on your vehicle to...look no further. Honestly!. I have taken a couple vehicles to Josh and his crew and have found nothing except courtesy, quality and most of all integrity!!! He actually took care of the transmission on my Chrysler 2003 Town and Country after another mechanic had already "fixed" it but wouldn't guarantee it. Josh replacement my trans and guaranteed his work. As it turns out this guarantee was not even necessary...40,000 miles later we are still running like new. One final note...I'm not sure why others felt compelled to leave bad reviews here but I can tell you that Josh and his crew have been so good to me that I recently had a vehicle towed 40 miles despite the fact there is another repair shop just 3 miles away. One of the best service experiences I have ever had. They diagnosed my transmission problem in spite of the dealer stating that there was none. The car is still under warranty and so I have to take it back to the dealer. Cincinnati Transmission did not even charge me for a lot of diagnostic work. They could have just flushed the system as I had asked but they heard that something was wrong. Just flushing the system was not the answer and they did not hesitate to do the right thing.
