Cincinnati Transmission Specialists, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Rick Lamping. Rick has worked in the transmission repair industry since he was 16-years-old, taking on every role from cleaning the shop, to rebuilding transmissions, and eventually management and customer service. Along the way he learned everything he could about how to diagnose and repair vehicles, how to run a business, and most importantly, how to deliver incredible customer service.

In 2003, another quote inspired Rick to take the next step: "If you don't build your dream, someone will hire you to build theirs." He made the decision to take a bold chance, investing his own savings, and every bit of time and energy he could find, into opening his own shop. When Cincinnati Transmission Specialists, Inc. first opened its doors, those doors led into a small shop in Blue Ash, Ohio with a few employees, and a desire to deliver the best service anywhere.

Since then, Cincinnati Transmission Specialists, Inc. has grown to encompass two 6-bay shops, together servicing over 3,000 cars per year. The size may have changed, but the mission has stayed the same. Today, we are proud to say we are the ONLY shop offering a 3-Year, 100,000-mile warranty on our work. We have an outstanding team, dedicated to delivering impeccable quality to our customers, the people who have helped us make our dreams a reality.
